United Way Centraide North East Ontario/Nord-est de l’Ontario Welcomes New Executive Director

North East Ontario – UWCNEO’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mary Lou Hussak has been selected as the organization’s new Executive Director. Hussak will officially begin her new role with United Way on January 6, 2020.

A longtime Sudbury resident, Mary Lou brings 20+ years of leadership experience in fundraising, community development, volunteer management, and program delivery in the non-profit and social service sector. She also enjoyed a successful career in real estate, building relationships and supporting her community through various volunteer opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to have Mary Lou lead our team. Her extensive background in fundraising and community engagement is a great fit for United Way and the work we are doing throughout our community,” says Patrick Brouzes, Board President.

“It’s an honour to be chosen as the new executive director of UWCNEO. I look forward to working with community members in North East Ontario to make local issues #UNIGNORABLE and ensuring that we have strong, vibrant communities where everyone matters,” says Hussak.

UWCNEO will be hosting an open house on January 16th at their Sudbury office (957 Cambrian Heights, Unit 201) to welcome Mary Lou. Community members are invited to stop by between 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
