Board Announces Interim Executive Director

United Way Centraide North East Ontario Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Shelley Lachapelle has been appointed interim executive director.

Shelley is an experienced communications professional with expertise in stakeholder engagement, fund development and special event planning. With over 10-years management experience within the United Way movement, Shelley brings a proven track record in fundraising, strategic development, and relationship management.

Shelley is a graduate of Cambrian College with a diploma in Public Relations and holds a non-profit management certificate from Western University. She has also participated in several professional development opportunities through the Ivey Academy, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and United Way Centraide Canada. For the past year, she has been working with the UWCNEO team as our communications manager.

The search for a new executive director will begin this summer, under the guidance of a specialized selection committee assembled by the Board of Directors.
