Thank You For Helping People In Our Community

United Way Centraide North East Ontario - Tuesday, 30 March 2021

We needed your help, and you were there.

Thank you. For the past five years, United Way Centraide North East Ontario, in partnership with the Sudbury District Labour Council, has teamed up for Tampon Tuesday, an action-based initiative aimed to raise awareness by collecting much-needed products to help people in our community.

This year we had to plan differently. We couldn’t gather, but that didn’t stop you from showing your local love. With the support of Labour partners and union members, community businesses, workplaces, and others that heard about Tampon Tuesday from a friend or on the radio, we are thankful. You helped make our no-contact drive-thru depot a success! While you were picking up coffee or buying essentials, you remembered to donate a box (or two) of product to help that struggling person. Some of you even set up collection drives in your workplaces. We want to thank each of you for helping to ensure that people don’t have to choose between buying food or product.

We are excited to report that collectively over 1000 boxes, that’s over 8000 individual products, have been donated (so far!), with more pick-ups scheduled this week. These products will soon be in the hands of our partnering organizations and distributed to people in need. Thank you for making this work possible.
