Welcoming newcomers to North East Ontario

The Ukrainian community has deep roots and a reach history in parts of North East Ontario. So when the invasion in Ukraine forced millions of people to flee their country and seek refuge, it was only natural that agencies came together to offer support.

Working together with the City of Greater Sudbury and the Local Immigration Partnership, our community is mobilizing efforts to provide resources for displaced Ukrainians once they arrive in Greater Sudbury.

Coming to a new country can be extremely overwhelming. Feeling lost and alone, not sure where to turn for support, being exposed to a new culture and new language…these are all things that add to an already stressful situation. Below, are a list of resources for newcomers and refugees arriving in Greater Sudbury.
