Anna has lived in Sudbury for over seven years. After recent gallbladder surgery, she began receiving Meals on Wheels — a United Way–funded program that delivers nutritious meals and friendly visits to people who need extra support.
For Anna, the service has made all the difference.
“It’s helped take the stress out of figuring out what to cook,” she says. “Everything is so expensive right now, and having these meals gives me one less thing to worry about.”
As a person with a disability, Anna says this support has given her more independence, reduced her daily stress, and even given her parents peace of mind. The volunteers who visit bring not just food — but kindness and connection.
“I used to be very social,” Anna shares. “I miss that, but being part of this program helps me feel involved again.”
This is what your donation makes possible — practical help, human connection, and hope for a better tomorrow.
Your gift helps someone like Anna start a new chapter.
Please give today and help more people in our community access the support they need to thrive.
