UWCNEO’s funding review process ensures that donor dollars raised to support the Community Fund are invested for maximum impact. All applications are reviewed by a team of local experts that provide recommendations to the Allocations Committee, with final funding approval coming from our local Board of Directors. The number of funded programs and allocated amounts are determined annually by dollars raised in the District.
We partner with organizations across North East Ontario in support of programs that help change lives.
Our focus is on three key areas:
Call for proposals for Districts of Cochrane, Timiskaming, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Sudbury, and Manitoulin will be accepted from December 1, 2021 – January 14, 2022 for work to be conducted between April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023
Once the statement of intent is received, qualifying organizations will receive login details to submit their full funding application through an online portal. All funding proposals are due by January 14, 2022 @ 11:59 p.m.
The process is open to all qualifying organizations that are aligned with the following Community Impact Strategies:

Income Stability
Social and mental health supports and services
Community Engagement
Success in education
Community connection and mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing
