Each year, United Way’s across the country partner with unions to improve lives in local communities.

Nationally, United Way Centraide and the Canadian Labour Congress have been partners since 1988, working collectively to strengthen communities across Canada.

The partnership developed around a common interest: Ensuring that workers and their families have the support they need to succeed.

Locally, our Labour Partners and their members are longstanding and generous supporters of United Way Centraide North East Ontario, but this partnership is rooted much deeper than just financial support. Labour representatives advocate for those in need in our communities. They serve on United Way Boards, Cabinets, and Committees.
